Exclusive video of Vancouver mayoral candidate Pete Fry biking without a helmet

Pete Fry, the left’s compromise candidate for Mayor of Vancouver, rode a Mobi e-bike without a helmet to an exclusive cocktail party during FIFA World Cup 2026.

On June 23, theBreaker captured images of the Green city councillor on the Northeast False Creek bike lane. Fry, sans “brain bucket,” was on his way to Science World for a VIP event hosted by B.C. Lt. Gov. Wendy Cocchia on the eve of Canada’s 2-1 loss to Switzerland at B.C. Place Stadium.

“Helmets are mandatory in B.C. and are available at stations at no additional cost to the riders,” states the City of Vancouver website. “The provided helmets are designed specifically for bike share use. Mobi staff regularly sanitize and inspect used helmets for safety and wear before returning them to the bikes.”

Fry’s platform for the Oct. 17 civic election promises infrastructure improvements to increase safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

It also includes a promise for the Greens to “push to reveal final costs and revenues [of FIFA World Cup 2026] upon assuming office.”
